It's crazy how life can be so unpredictable...
Well I'm gonna come straight to the point. Yesterday was probably (no definitely!) one of the best days of my life.
Why?
Cuz I had school training after school rite...then while I was runnin' around with my 4ths team-mates,..all of a sudden..,outta nowhere...,Mr. Knights (2nd XI coach AKA Mr. PULL-UP-UR-SOCKS!) & this other English coach (Mr. Gale?) came up to me & told me he wanted me to play for the them (2nds!!!)...against the 1stXI!!!
"Chan?"
"?"
"Chan, right?"
"Yeah?"
"We want you to play for us, the 2nd XI...alright?"
...[!?!]...
"We're playing the 1st XI..."
[chucks me this really cool jersey & asks me to go warm up with the guys...]
[SHIT! OMG! I woz like freakin' stoned! Like...whaaa?]
"Oh ok..." [stunned...flabbergasted...in shock!]
Like one minute I woz training with my 4XI team-mates & the next minute I'm asked to play for the 2ndXI...against the 1stXI?!! I wasn't expectin' to play for the 2nds against them, the 1stXI, at training AT ALL...not in a million years!
I knew one guy in my team,..and the others & coaches were pretty friendly and all to me...so in a game of 3 quarters...I must say we started quite shaky and I personally was a little intimidated (la DUH...they were so damn fast & physical!) but as the game progressed I wasn't really 'scared' anymore & just played my own game to the best of my ability...(I was playing centre-back then holding midfielder for the last quarter)
We got better as the game went on(ended 5-3 to them)...And in the end I thought I did pretty well...and apparently impressed...then when it ended Mr. Knights approached me and told me that I played well today & wanted me to play for them this Saturday(TOMORROW!)...this time I was stoned there for a tat longer.....
[???].....[SURPRISE to ELATION].....AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH :D
Of course I agreed! Then I went into the changing rooms & all for the first time.,.and was given my super-cool, branded team-kit which was so damn AWESOME! (Had the privilege of choosing #5 out of this bag full of team jerseys/shorts/socks & whatnot...)
Sigh! Wow...seriously man...who saw that coming? NOBODY! Like a couple of weeks ago I got injured & shit,..and now I got promoted from 4ths to 2nds?
This is just unbelievable...
...and to think that I woz considering missing training becuz of a neck/shoulder problem that I got from the cold...and applying all those ointments the whole day to relieve the pain..!
So I'm making my 2ndXI (Reserve Team) DEBUT tomorrow...hope that all goes well! Just wanna thank GOD & most importantly Mr. Knights for giving me this huge opportunity...
So I came home tired but so EXCITED...& ECSTATIC!
Rite I gotta go sleep now...but I'll be back to post in a backward fashion on what happened the past week...wish me luck!
Life is a rollercoaster...

TOTALLY UNEXPECTED.

Phew.....& 2-6? WHAT...?!
Hey whatsup everyone?!
Well PHEW[...a big sigh of relief...]. My injury turned out to be a basic hamstring pull...I went to the physio twice & have been putting it on heat and stretching the muscle...
It's really been getting better, I'm almost there and expect to be back this coming week. Thank God. Seriously.
The first week back of school has been alright I guezz...out with the late nights & in with the homework!..which needs some time to get used to again...like all of us (except those ppl who live to study...u know who i'm talkin about [no offense to them!..well it's not exactly a bad thing..!] )
So I obviously had to skip this week's football trainings both for club & school (whose season begun this week)...and so I watched my school's 3rd & 4th XI teams playing side-by-side, at the same time...in miserable conditions (very cold + wet!)...the 3rd's won big-time...and I think we did win too.
BUT, today wasn't especially a gr8 day,..on the soccer side of things. Since I wasn't playing today (and thus could afford to sleep late for the last time during the soccer season!)...I woke up early to watch Real Madrid,.....get HUMILIATED.....by Barcelona at the Bernabeu...[mixed emotions of shock, anger, sadness & whatnot...]
6-2...Hard to believe but true nevertheless...oh well!
Then after that my club team-mates & I boarded a chartered bus & travelled 2.5 hrs up north to Whangarei for an away game...and whilst I was so desperate to play, I couldn't...and we really should've come away with at the very least a draw, if not a 1-0 loss, against a team that we actually could beat!..but lost 2-0 in the end.
But hey,..we'll keep on improving & trying...I'm so eager to get back! Gonna start jogging tmrw...
And as if that wasn't bad enough already...to cap off the day, some of our guys' possessions (but luckily none of mine) were STOLEN from the dressing rooms! Cam lost his phone, Ipod AND wallet! Could you believe that?! And we tried reporting it to the police and all...I thought the host should've taken responsibility for that?..I mean how could that have happened?
Hmm I wonder what we'd do to them when they come here next time...(",)
However the bus trip was really fun & enjoyable...as soon as me & Oscar (who were sittin together) were gettin into good sleep, we got disturbed by some A-holes behind...haha JK! And the best part was that our coach's bro-in-law owns the Subway in that area...so we got FREE SUBWAY after the game! LOL...
[& the joke was apparently the bro-in-law was trying to get James to like him...haha & thus the kind and generous offer]
It was a long day...left home at 9 and returned at 7-ish.
Other than that...I wanna thank giv some shout outs...to Zam my man...thanx for stayin up until 4am + to watch Madrid get annihilated...seriously thank you :S...and Hakim buddy for the stayin up too, mainly to tell me what went on [& feelings being expressed :D] between him & Sabrina HAHA...and finally happy belated birthday's - Fabian & Jackie.
Signing off,
~Jonoloco~
P.S. I got a new phone! Nokia 5310 XpressMusic (don't have to keep on constantly deleting messages anymore!)

Would you call this "bad luck" or what?
[I'm typing this in my room with an ice-pack below my thigh]
Y'know, the holidays have been great...
and what was I up to the whole time..?
Well yeah i think you guessed it -> soccer.....chillin'.....more soccer.....
and lotsa other stuff of course...
[...tryin' to make a smile...]
If I were writing this post yesterday or before yesterday, my mood would've been so much better than now, and I would go on about how awesome the movie '17 Again' starring Zac Efron was,..
but if there was one word to describe how I'm feeling right now,..it would be FRUSTRATED.
........
1 or 2 minutes into our first home game today(that I started in), while I was running, I dunno, something just suddenly 'twitched' in the upper part of my left hamstring, towards the side...and I thought I could carry on but obviously couldn't, which resulted in the first goal being conceded. All I could do was limp off immediately in pain and watch as my team went down 0-6(but did better & should've at least scored this time).
I mean...All the training up till today has been really good...Thursday's was especially tough but hey...it was all going well up to this point.
GOD, Not again?!
I really hope it's nothing too serious. I mean with the season just beginning and all...PLEASE! :(
Anyway it's back to school tomorrow. I'll let you know on how things go.
[Hope it's just a pulled muscle or something...goddammit...]
Trying to stay positive,
Jon

Doctor to his lady patient: You look terribly weak and exhausted! Are you having your meals three times a day as I have advised?
Lady replied: Doctor, I thought you said three males a day.
HAHAHA! So crack up...
And I'll leave you with a really meaningful poem about love & friendship...as it is one of (if not the most) important things in life to me...
...about how we should all appreciate our loved ones & the people around us,
as life really is unpredictable sometimes, isn't?
[Sorry for the 'jiwang-ness' Kimo bro]
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
And as in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
'Tomorrow' I say! 'I will call on Tim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him.
'But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
'Here's a telegram sir,' 'Tim died today.'
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
Remember to always say what you mean & MEAN what you say. If you love someone, tell them. Don't be afraid to express yourself. Reach out and tell someone how much they mean to you. Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late.
Seize the day. Never have regrets. And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today.
Hasta luego,
[See ya l8r]

Holidays are here..!
...but it's time to get down to WORK! And I'll explain why in a minute...
But first of all, waSSSup guyz? Howz it goin'? Hope everyone's been doing and are doing great.
Just to give a heads up on what's been going on,
Exams are over! (they have been for a week now), and I think I did alright.
Finally, at long last, some time to forget about the books and kick-back for these 2 weeks of term break - on the study side of things of course. [Btw, this just came to mind - last year's IGCSE finals' results were pretty darn good! Straight A*'s, although it definitely won't be that simple this year...as expected!]
Just to let you know, I've made & therefore will be playing for the
Three Kings United U17 Metro Team (Premiers) & the
Auckland Grammar School 4th XI Team (certainly hope to move up the ranks cuz they do shuffle you around in school...3rd XI? 2nd..?..haha)
And although our first club game didn't go so well (we lost 6-0 away to presumably last year's champs - a much more prepared and fitter & more confident-on-the-ball East Coast Bays who've been playing together more than we have, 2/3 keeper blunders & centre of midfield too exposed due to lack of fitness), it was good that we know where we're gonna go from here, which is improve & improve & improve as we train more and more as a team...and DEFINITELY get much fitter to last the whole long 80 mins & play proper football!
We've had 2 club trainings before the match, 3 to date (yesterday - fitness at the end woz tiring!SprintS + SuicideS)...& school's starts the first week back of Term 2...next club game is two weeks from now at home to Forrest Hill, so THE WORK BEGINS RIGHT AWAY!
Bootcamp, Fitness, Ballwork & whatnot...Both football aspects & fitness...
But I'm certainly not compromising on waking up later in the morning since it's the holidays! But gotta do lotsa hard work no matter how painful it may be...all before sundown at friggin 6:30!
Stupid daylight-saving...I thought it was supposed to let us have more daylight?[guess what we arrived at the game 1 hour before cuz we totally forgot about daylight-saving ending! LOL (we were supposed to adjust our clocks one hour backwards)]
And last but not least, I'm gonna hav more time to chill and MSN & call back to my bros back home!
Oh Yeah...:)
Okay til next time, MEZ OUT!
Jon

~HECTIC!~
OMG. Oh. My. God. [Takes a large sigh...]
LIFE has been really busy...& extremely tiring!
Man I've been so occupied these past few weeks (especially the last 2 or 3) that the days & weeks just fly by...
& there's really not enough time to do all that I wanna do in a day!?
And the worst thing is...it could only get busi-er!
HOWEVER in the midst of all the action, we all find time to sit back, relax & take a breather (for awhile at least)...and that's exactly what I'm doin now.
Looking back at all the 'craziness' that's been goin' on, particularly the jam-packed past 2 weeks,.....hmm where do I start.....
Of course! Football-Soccer-Bola Sepak!
To begin with...
Long-as runs/cycles & lotsa footy training & whatnot...all preparation for the season, but up first were of course - the TRIALS!
The first day of school's 1st XI trials was exciting,..you know...the 'don't know what to expect' feeling...lol...Lotsa people were there of course...I just played to the best of my ability
& I think, no, I KNOW I did pretty well then (",) (not tryin to brag or anything...just tryin to increase my confidence!) cuz...
After my match I got talked to by one of the coaches & apparently they were "impressed" ... and so I made the callbacks shortlist for the 2nd day of 1st XI trials! YAY! This was the picture of the list on the footy notice board ->

That second day was my first-ever experience of playing with the 'big boys'...like the elite group - with last year's top players & such...The match was going at 'a 100-miles per hour pace' & was really physical...and although tired me didn't showcase my best (and thus didn't make the cut), it was a good experience & I learnt a lot from it.
(The same day after that I had to go for this club training,..& my legs were dead!)
Had Nike Football Bootcamp testing on Mon.., it's like an 8-10 week pre-season football-specific fitness programme developed by and for professionals (that I'm doing! :D)...concentrating on the most important elements of the game - Speed, Power, Agility & Aerobic Capacity...
Next important date was the next day, -> my club's Under 17 Metro (=Premier) Team trials! I knew I had to erase bad memories of last year from my mind...& did so...
In the end I think I did alrite. Pretty good! Haha...
And finally, school's 2nd XI trials which just took place yesterday. I stood (and hopefully still stand) a good chance of getting into the 2nd XI...Umm, although I know that I didn't do too well cuz of some 'personal mental issues', it was a vital point where I told myself(with the help of my dad) to put everything = last year behind me ->
to RID ALL DOUBTS of my own ability and NEVER TEAR MYSELF DOWN or mentally destroy myself again...
From now onwards, I'll KEEP MY HEADS UP and be POSITIVE, CONFIDENT & BELIEVE IN MYSELF to play like I know how to -> the COOL, CALM & COLLECTED WAY---NEVER WORRY OR PANIC!
Ehem...sry bout that...Anyways the 2nd XI squad (but not the finalised team) will be posted on Monday...while the club (U17) top team will also be announced next week...will definitely tell you wut happens. Meanwhile, Nike Football Bootcamp begins!
Aside from that, SCHOOL has been really tough too...I'm doing AS (= Advanced Subsidiary - 1st half of A-Levels) this year, which is kind of a leap from IGCSE last year...(can you believe my Bio teacher claims to be teaching at 'university stage 1' pace? OMG)...thingz are just gettin tougher & much more complicated!
Sure, I'm gettin lots of homework too...and I guess it's the same for all my mates here & back home too...but rest assured, cuz no matter how hard things may get, at the end of the day, we would all certainly get through! [With hard work, everything's gonna turn out fine!]
Okay, I'm done here...PEACE OUT!

Been Busy...Busy...More BUSY!
This will be the quickest post in the history of quickest posts..!
MY SCHOOL'S 1st XI TRIALS (Yes! The First 11 Football Team -> The TOP Team) ARE TOMORROW & THURSDAY!!!
AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
That kinda explains why I hav to go to bed early...which is NOW!
So I'll definitely be back to tell the stor-ies of what went on, and what's been goin' on as well...
I'll just try to be CONFIDENT, play my game & do my best...
& I really hope to make at the very least, the 2nd or 3rd XI...
but with hard work, dedication & passion, who says we can't dream big?..the 1st XI!
And, club trials/trainings begin...
So...
Wish me luck!
Jon (P.S. - Post took 38.65 seconds +/- 0.05 secs...JUZ KIDDIN!)
